During return counselling, we will discuss your situation together and explore your future prospects.
Together, we will plan your return, obtain your travel documents, and book your flight, train, or bus ticket.
Upon request, we will assist you with the necessary steps on your day of departure and accompany you to the point of departure – or, if needed, all the way to your country of origin.
If you do not have sufficient funds for your return, your travel costs will be covered. This also applies to special additional costs, for example, if you have a specific medical need upon return.
Upon your departure, you will receive a cash payment of up to € 900 as initial financial assistance.
After your return, you can also participate in a reintegration programme. This programme facilitates your new start in your home country through financial and in-kind assistance.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) supports your reintegration.
How are you supported after your return?
You will receive the following services from IOM locally:
Airport pick-up (if required)
Assistance with onward travel (if required)
Counselling
€ 500 in cash as immediate assistance after return
In-kind assistance worth € 3,000, which can be used for the implementation of a business idea (e.g., starting a small business), vocational training, housing, medical services or needs of accompanying children
Support in entering the labor market
Referral to local support services
