During return counselling, we will discuss your situation together and explore your future prospects.
Together, we will plan your return, obtain your travel documents, and book your flight, train, or bus ticket.
Upon request, we will assist you with the necessary steps on your day of departure and accompany you to the point of departure – or, if needed, all the way to your country of origin.
If you do not have sufficient funds for your return, your travel costs will be covered. This also applies to special additional costs, for example, if you have a specific medical need upon return.
Upon your departure, you will receive a cash payment of up to € 900 as initial financial assistance.
After your return, you can also participate in a reintegration programme. This programme facilitates your new start in your home country through financial and in-kind assistance.

Caritas Austria supports your reintegration through the IRMA plus III project.
How are you supported after your return?
You receive the following services through a local partner organization:
Counselling
€ 200 in cash as immediate support
In-kind support worth € 1,800, which can be used for accommodation and other basic needs, medical assistance, implementation of a business idea (e.g., starting a small business) or vocational training
You will also receive an additional € 500 in-kind assistance for each accompanying child (up to a maximum of € 1,500)
