Are you requested to leave Austria? Then you are also obliged to attend an appointment with BBU return counselling. Please contact BBU as soon as possible.

Before my return, I was in pre-removal detention. Since I had no valid papers, I had to leave Austria. A return counsellor from the BBU explained to me all the procedures for voluntarily returning to Tunisia. He informed me of the assistance I would receive if I returned voluntarily. I was very worried about how my family would react to my return, especially because of the money they had spent on me. But in Tunisia I was warmly welcomed by my family. That was a big moment for me.

The first few months after my return were challenging. But those around me had a lot of understanding and actively supported me. With the reintegration assistance, I bought cattle to improve our family income. In this way, I manage to cover the living expenses of my children with the help of my family and at the same time I can complete an apprenticeship as a hairdresser.

My asylum application was rejected, and I was no longer allowed to stay in Austria. Despite the difficulties I have experienced, I do not regret my decision to return. The advice on my business idea and the financial assistance helped me to gain new self-confidence. I was able to get back on my feet financially and am respected by my community.
